Given the progress with reopening the province here in B.C., we are creating a plan to have our employees back in the office! We're going through all of our processes with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that we can do this in the safest possible manner. In addition to employee rules and guidelines, we are creating processes for customers who need to visit our facility for a press-check or any other reasons. These guidelines will be shared with all of our customers as soon as they are finalized!

Our Shipping department has noticed some delays with courier deliveries, especially on the overnight service. We're aware that there are delays with couriers across North America at this time, and would like to encourage customers to plan ahead on shipments (as well as orders) wherever possible to avoid any delays!
On a separate note, this week B.C. went ahead with Phase 2 of their plan to reopen the province. At this time, these updates have no impact on what we're currently doing and how we've been operating.
MAY 8, 2020
A few days ago, B.C. released some updates in regards to a "new normal" plan and reopening the province. We wanted to let you know that, at this time, these updates have no impact on what we're currently doing, and we will continue to practice social distancing and have most office employees working from home. We're still fully operational and available for support, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

Not much has changed since last week. However, we wanted to post a reminder that we're here to help our customers during this difficult time. Our team is available for assistance when it comes to determining what your company needs to feel comfortable and supported. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
APRIL 9, 2020
Since last week, we have had a few questions about orders being affected by potential border closures between provinces. Please be assured that, at this time, all orders will be unaffected by this update for as long as we are deemed an essential service by the government.
Again, we want to remind customers to pre-plan orders wherever possible to avoid extended lead times. We are fully operational at this time, and we are here to do whatever we can to support you. Our team is available when it comes to determining what your company needs to feel comfortable and supported in this uncertain time. Please check in with us at any time!

Not much has changed since last week, but we wanted to share some more insights into our production load at the moment.
We are seeing an influx of orders as our communities hurry to restock shelves and provide our front lines with the necessary material (which comes with packaging) to function. We are being asked to reprioritize jobs based on their need from the government, which means that food and hand sanitizer packaging are being produced as priority items. However, due to the work of our incredible team, we are successfully navigating these changes and delays, and we're mostly maintaining our standard lead time.
Just another note that we purchase almost all of our material from North America. We do keep a large supply on hand, and we have started to incorporate a buffer to accommodate any delays we may run into with material. Although we may experience occasional delays, these buffers have been created to minimize any noticeable delays to our customers. Should there be any delays, our team will communicate them as quickly as possible. Feel free to check in with us if you have any concerns!

Associated Labels and Packaging can confirm that the province of British Columbia stated packaging as an essential service just a few days ago. This means that we can and will continue to operate to the best of our ability. Please read our detailed statement below for more information regarding our operations.
MARCH 13, 2020
As many of you know, COVID-19 has impacted millions across the globe and has started to affect our day-to-day life in North America. As we continue to navigate the novel coronavirus, we want to highlight the steps that we are taking to protect the wellbeing of our employees, customers, and community.
Premise Restrictions
We will no longer be allowing any external visitors at our facility moving forward. If your visit cannot be fulfilled via phone, email, or virtual meeting, please reschedule your appointment with your sales representative.
Facility Cleanliness
Associated is an IFS PACsecure-certified facility, which means that we are to uphold rigorous standards when it comes to cleanliness and hygiene throughout our four buildings. In addition to these standards, we are sending continual reminders to all employees to practice social distancing wherever possible, refrain from physical contact with other employees, and continue to follow the recommended guidelines for hygiene.
Monitoring Personnel
All employees are required to stay at home if they're sick. We have cancelled all non-essential work travel and are advising employees to stay informed regarding travel outside North America. Any employees that travel outside of Canada are required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return. Any employees with immediate family members that travel outside of Canada are also required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon their return.
Internally, we have minimized all interactions between personnel, and most office employees are now working from home. Employees at the office are to remain within their department areas, practice social distancing, and conduct internal meetings via phone, email, or video conference only. Supervisors are also staggering employee lunches to minimize interaction.
Daily Updates
With the situation changing so often, we are keeping all employees informed and up to date with relevant news on a daily basis.
At Associated, we are taking the safety of our employees, customers, and consumers seriously. We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation and will continue to take guidance from the Canadian public health authorities to ensure this situation is handled as safely as possible. We will be updating the website, as well as customers and suppliers, with relevant information as it arises, and if your order is affected, your sales representative will notify you as quickly as possible. Please note that if you do have an order in-house, the sales team will keep you in the loop with any issues, but you may experience minimal delays in response time given the developing situation.
