If you follow us on Instagram, you might've seen our little beer photoshoot a few weeks back! (If you're not following us, you're missing out - check us out here!)

We collaborated with 3 Dogs Brewing a few months back to create our beer labels, and we couldn't be happier with the result! The label has everything we were looking for: metalized effects, vivid colours, and a West Coast-themed design - what more could we want?

This project got us thinking - what are consumers looking for in beer packaging? We came up with a few suggestions:

Impact beer packaging

Packaging appeal can have a significant influence on which beer customers choose to purchase. With alcoholic beverages specifically, consumers are more open to trying new brands, and it's important to make an impact with your packaging. Utilizing different finishes and laminations (like gloss or matte), bold or metallic label stock (we have over 250 types!), or even a uniquely shaped label, you can ensure your beer stands out on the shelf.

Food Safety

It goes without saying but being able to guarantee your customers that your product is safe and protected is more important than ever. At Associated, we're IFS PACsecure-certified, which means that we're food safe from our offices to the production floor.

Personalization has been a big packaging trend for the last few years. Integrating this trend into your beer label or shrink sleeve can be easily achieved with the help of variable data printing, which allows you to print different patterns, number sequences, and designs. This could mean endless designs, mass personalization, and security features: all printed with ease.

Another term at the forefront of consumers' minds is sustainability. If this is important to your brand, we can support you by offering sustainable stock options made from post-consumer waste, stone paper, FSC-certified materials, and recyclable materials. Also, if using shrink sleeves, there are no adhesives applied to your product, so the bottle or container underneath can be easily recycled by the customer.
